19 Grants up to $5,000 each are available.
New England Environmental Education Alliance and the six state professional Environmental Education associations have won a $150,000 grant from the U.S. EPA Regional Environmental Education Sub-Grants program. This award will fund at least nineteen small grants, up to $5,000 each, to support projects that will increase environmental education capacity on a state-wide level. The sub-grant program also has a goal of advancing education by helping implement state environmental education plans.
The EPA stressed the importance of NEEEA and the six state professional EE associations' record of fostering a strong a network of environmental education professionals in New England. In making the award, EPA expressed confidence in how leveraging the NEEEA professional network will enhance the opportunity for wide and long-lasting success of the sub-grant projects.
