Please help get the word out about "Speak Up for America's Future Teachers"!

Speak Up

2012 for America's Future Teachers is a unique opportunity for America’s next generation of teachers to “speak up” about their views on their career choice and share their ideas about how to leverage technology within learning. Since the launch of the survey, over 1,100 surveys have been submitted by students from more than 160 universities/colleges nationwide.

There's still time to participate! If you or someone you know is in a teacher preparation program please visit our website to take the survey today! Participation is open to all students in teacher preparation programs both at the undergraduate and graduate level as well as career changers in special programs.

The national data findings will be used to inform national policies on technology use in education, and to inform K-12 school and district leaders on the aspirations of tomorrow’s teachers.

The online surveys will be open for input through next Friday May 11th at: www.speakup4highered.org/speakup2012.

Why participate in Speak Up?

§ This is a unique opportunity for America’s next generation of teachers to “speak up” about their views on their career choice and share their ideas about how to leverage technology within learning.

§ Project Tomorrow will release a national report on the survey findings in fall of 2012 in a special Congressional Briefing in Washington DC. Results will be shared with policymakers, academic research organizations and media.

§ Project Tomorrow will provide all teacher preparation programs with a copy of the national report and findings. An optional question on the survey asks students to identify their institution and if the data set is supportive, Project Tomorrow will also share institutional level data with that particular college or university.

§ All information is 100% confidential. The surveys take less than 20 minutes to complete.

The question themes this year include learning and teaching with technology, and new emerging technology issues such as mobile devices, blended learning, digital content and learning games.
