NOAA Fisheries

NOAA Fisheries Service, an office of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), recently published A Good Catch. This book was written at the middle school science level and has been reviewed by educators and NOAA scientists. It is available to you as a potential resource for the teachers and librarians in your state.

The book contains scientific information about managing our nation’s fisheries, protected species, and marine habitat; a glossary of terms; full color images; and is case bound (hard cover). There will be accompanying activities online available to the education community by the end of this school year.

If you would like to preview a pdf version of this book, please visit http://www.education.noaa.gov/Marine_Life/A_Good_Catch_NMFS.pdf.

If you would like hard copies distributed to you, your districts, or your schools, please email your request and shipping information to Molly Harrison, National Education Coordinator, NOAA Fisheries Service, molly.harrison@noaa.gov. Of course it's all free.
